KAB Beautification Ambassador Awards

Keep Abilene Beautiful recognizes the efforts of those enhancing their neighborhood/community. We currently provide three different award categories focused on projects, groups and individuals that actively contribute to recycling, beautification and sustaining our Abilene landscape and natural resources.

Abilene Recycling Award

2015 Bridgestone Bandag of Abilene
2016 Bird Thomas and The Center
2018 City of Abilene Recreation Department

Bridgestone Bandag was recognized for its recycling accomplishments. The Bridgestone Bandag Abilene Plant exceeded its recycling rate goal of 91%. The plant recycled a total of 1,982 tons of material.

Keep Abilene Beautiful, Inc. recognizes programs and projects that actively contribute to recycling, beautification, and sustaining Abilene’s natural resources. These awards are given to local community groups, businesses, non-profit and civic organizations; as well as, government agencies with offices in Abilene.

KAB Sustainable City Award Recognizes sustainability efforts through water or energy conservation, litter prevention, or any community action that recovers resources or sustains our quality of living.

The Donna Albus Beautification Award Recognizes beautification efforts that improve the local community aesthetics.

KAB Recycling Award Recognizes achievement in preventing waste through recycling efforts.
